NOTICE OF POSSIBLE WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION
CITY OF ROCKWOOD
The City of Rockwood wishes to inform its customers about a scheduled water supply repair on Thursday June 2, at 9:00am that may impact the City's water services to its residents.
Repairs are being made to the water supply connection with cooperation from the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department.
The City will flush the fire hydrants during this timeframe to minimize the possibility of water discoloration, however, residents are encouraged to use water sparingly, and refrain from washing laundry, on this date for a period ranging from 2-6 hours. Washing laundry during this repair period may result in discoloration of the clothing.
Residents are also encouraged to run their tap water after completion of the work until the water runs clear.
The City intends to utilize the emergency connections with Flat Rock and Brownstown to minimize the possibility of any water service disruption. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
