Rockwood Municipal Building Closed to the Public

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the City of Rockwood is taking protective measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19. To this end, the Municipal Building will be closed to the public until further notice. The health and safety of our residents and employees is our top priority.

The Rockwood staff will continue to work from the Municipal Offices. Payments may be dropped off in the drop box located outside the main entrance of the building or by U.S. Mail. Permit applications and forms are available on the city website, Staff will be available to answer questions during regular business hours of 7:00 am - 3:30 pm by calling 734-379-9496.

All other city services (Police, Fire, DPW and rubbish collection) will continue. You may contact the Rockwood Police and Fire Dept. by calling the non-emergency number

The Rockwood Senior/Community Center and the Senior Van Service will not be open or in operation until further notice.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Emergency Services - Temporary Changes

Due to concerns over the Coronavirus, the following changes will be implemented:

IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY DIAL 911. The Police Department lobby will not be open, if you need Police, Fire, or Medical Services, please call (734) 379-5323. If you need City Hall's services, they can be reached at (734) 379-9496. Monday through Friday 7am - 3:30pm.

All non-emergency reports will be taken via telephone.

The following services will not be done until further notice:

  • Walk-in reports
  • Pistol Purchases (Pistol Sales Records can be mailed in)
  • Non-court ordered fingerprints
  • Walk-in report requests
  • Walk-in PBT's
