NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED 2024-2025
FISCAL YEAR BUDGET

The City Council of the City of Rockwood will conduct a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 6:45 P.M. at the Rockwood Municipal Building, Council Chambers, 32409 Fort Road, Rockwood, Michigan, 48173, on the proposed City Budget for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2024, and ending June 30, 2025.

The proposed fiscal year 2024-2025 Budget and budgets for the three preceding years are available in the Office of the City Clerk during regular business hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Thursday. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. Citizens may attend the Public Hearing or provide written comments to the City Clerk's Office prior to the hearing.

Notice of workshop

A workshop is scheduled for May 22, 2024, at 7:00 PM at City Hall, 32409 Fort St. in the Council Chambers.

The purpose of this workshop is to discuss:

  • Combining dispatch services with the City of Gibraltar. Gibraltar Mayor, Garrett Shumate and Gibraltar Police Chief, Rick Tanguay will be available for questions.
  • 24/25 Proposed Annual Budget
